3D scanning & quality assurance – making quality measurable and traceable
For prototypes and low-volume production, speed alone is not enough – components must also reliably meet the required quality standards. That is why quality assurance is fully integrated into the manufacturing process at priomold.
In our in-house metrology lab, we inspect and document plastic components using modern measurement technology. Optical 3D scanning enables us to capture component geometries precisely and compare them directly with the original CAD data. Deviations can be quickly identified, visualised and evaluated – a major advantage particularly for complex geometries and free-form surfaces.
Our quality services include initial sample inspection reports, in-process and series-accompanying measurements, 3D scans, dimensional inspections and IMDS entries. This allows us to support your project from initial sampling and approval through to ongoing low-volume production.
Because tooling, injection moulding and quality assurance are closely integrated in-house, measurement results can be fed directly back into the manufacturing process. Any necessary adjustments can therefore be implemented quickly without lengthy coordination between different suppliers.
The result: transparent, documented and traceable component quality – providing greater confidence for prototypes, pre-series and low-volume production.
