Green Brands Award Germany 2025

Renate Künast, TECNARO and ARBOTRADE, together with 50 sustainable brands, were awarded GREEN BRANDS Germany.

TECNARO GmbH and its subsidiary ARBOTRADE GmbH have once again been recognized as among Germanys most sustainable brands. TECNARO, with its ARBOFORM®, ARBOBLEND®, and ARBOFILL® brands, has received the Green Brands Germany award for the seventh consecutive time, while ARBOTRADE has been recognized for the second time. "Sustainability is not just part of our strategy – it is the foundation of TECNARO and ARBOTRADE" says Romy Pfitzer, who joined the management team of both companies at the beginning of 2025. She emphasizes that the bio-based materials ARBOFORM®, ARBOBLEND®, and ARBOFILL®, as well as the products made from them, including ARBOTRADE GmbHs bio-based tree shelters, demonstrably create genuine ecological benefits – measurable, effective, and far beyond mere environmental promises. "Our materials are now replacing fossil-based plastics in applications where there was previously no sustainable alternative" Yannic Graf, Sales Director of ARBOTRADE GmbH, adds: “The GREEN BRAND Germany award is a clear mandate for us. It confirms that we are on the right track – and it motivates us to scale our sustainable solutions even more consistently and to tap into further markets. We demonstrate that ecological innovation is not only possible, but also produces technically superior solutions that can have a real impact on a large scale.” The GREEN BRANDS seal is a registered and protected EU guarantee mark and is considered one of the most credible sustainability labels in Europe. The trophy itself also possesses symbolic power: It is made of the lignin-based biopolymer ARBOFORM® from TECNARO and is produced using 3D printing in cooperation with the Austrian printing company Schirner. Thus, the material itself embodies the fundamental idea of lived ecological responsibility. Image: Yannic Graf, Renate Künast, Romy Pfitzer, Jürgen Pfitzer
