Purchasing Team Leader (m/f/d)
As Head of Purchasing / Purchasing Team Leader (m/f/d) at SchoPlast Plastic GmbH, you hold both disciplinary and functional responsibility for the purchasing department at one of Europe’s leading companies for duroplast and thermoplast processing. You ensure the timely procurement of all production and non-production materials, establish efficient processes, and actively implement the company’s strategy in daily operations.
In addition, you lead and develop your team, coordinate cross-functional interfaces, act as the main contact in escalation cases, and optimize purchasing conditions through strategic supplier selection and contract negotiations. This role combines leadership responsibility, strategic sourcing expertise, and operational excellence in a dynamic industrial environment.
Your responsibilities:
• Disciplinary and professional leadership of the purchasing department staff
• Active implementation of the company strategy and philosophy
• Training of new team members in specialist tasks
• Responsibility for the creation and adherence to processes within the department
• Point of contact in case of escalation and solution finding with team leaders of other departments
• Primary responsibility for the timely procurement of all production materials, auxiliary materials, packaging, and non-production materials
• Optimization of purchasing conditions through suitable supplier selection and volume contracts
• Participation in the digitalization of processes within the department • Conducting strategic analyses for management
