About us
RF Plast GmbH - founded in 1988 - is a high-performance, modern, second-generation family-run industrial company in precision injection molding technology with locations in Gunzenhausen, Gilching and Bosca (Romania). We develop and produce high-quality individual components and functional groups for our global customers in the mobility, smart industry, environment and consumer sectors. Through our research and development department, toolshop, special machine construction and injection molding production. We offer our customers a complete package for complex solutions made of thermoplastics and thermosets from our own company.
Products & services

Toolmaking
No input – no output! We take care of it in our in-house toolmaking department! We manufacture high-precision injection molding tools for thermoplastic and thermoset molded parts. Our full service includes design and layout, production, sampling and measurement. We guarantee quality and output.

Special machine construction
In our special machine construction we manufacture: Assembly, testing and packaging systems Punching presses and unwinders Removal and assembly grippers Measuring devices We plan, design, assemble and program the systems and equipment with our specialists from the fields of design, mechanics, electronics and programming.

Precision injection molding
Plastics processing is the heart of RF Plast GmbH. By this we mean: - Precision injection molding of molded parts in the range of 0.05 to 1,500 g - Processing of all technical thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers, thermosets and high-performance plastics - Use of modern tool sensors and process monitoring Single and multi-component injection molding machines with clamping forces from 200 kN to 5000 kN are available for this purpose

Multi-component injection molding
We use all common concepts of machine and tool technology (insertion, transfer, turntable, index plate or core back processes) to manufacture composite components. We examine the technically and economically most advantageous variant and offer complete solutions for: - Plastic-plastic composites (hard/hard; hard/soft; currently up to 4 components), - Metal-plastic composites with different metal surfaces, - Wood-plastic composites, e.g. using primers.

Insert/outsert technology
Plastic-metal composites combine the functionality of metallic materials with the design possibilities of plastics. We are committed to integrating metallic components into hybrid plastic molded parts - insert technology is a core business. Many years of experience and special know-how convince our demanding customers when overmolding - bushings, threaded inserts and shafts for mechanical fixation, - lead frames, stamped grids and circuit boards for electrical functions, - magnetic carriers and stators for sensor and drive technology. We achieve a sufficiently high level of vertical integration by linking upstream and downstream bending and punching operations as well as optical and electrical tests.

Thermoset injection molding
Duroplast injection molding combines the high temperature resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical strength of duroplast materials with the shaping options of injection molding processes. The combination enables high-quality plastic parts to be produced efficiently for various applications. For tailor-made solutions according to individual customer needs, we use: - Phenolic resins, melamine resins, epoxy resins or polyurethanes - Inserts made of metal, ceramic, glass or electronic components up to complete circuit boards - Fillers such as glass fibers, carbon fibers or minerals
Highly filled materials / powder injection molding
Highly filled plastics with more than 40% vol. filler content achieve special properties such as high density, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity or magnetic properties. Powder injection molding combines the high precision and design freedom of injection molding with the outstanding properties of metal or ceramic materials. In both processes, our expertise ranges from material selection to the production of samples and prototypes to series production.

Visible parts
For visible parts, we can offer, depending on customer requirements: - Complex geometries - Fine surfaces - Special colors particularly for plastic materials such as ABS, PC, PP, PS, PMMA and others. We pay attention to technical properties, environmental compatibility and cost-effectiveness. Our service includes design, tool production and series production.

Development
We accompany our customers through the entire product development process, from the plastic-compatible component design and the assessment of tolerances through prototype production to the series-ready component. We are at your side with various skills: - Conception and selection of manufacturing / production technology - innovative manufacturing, testing and packaging concepts - material and production-compatible design - feasibility studies - production and testing of test and sample specimens - simulation calculations - production of (printed) samples and prototypes
