Leading tool maker for thermosets / BMC

Injection molds for liquid silicone rubber LSR
In silicone applications, precision in the sealing areas is the crucial factor. Compared to thermoplastics, even greater precision is required. However, demolding undercuts is often easier, which is why the material is flexible properties simplify tool design. Properly heated tools, combined with effective thermal insulation, also help save energy during part production. Silicones can be easily matched to specific corporate colors using masterbatch colors. At Precupa, we manufacture silicone tools for medical technology, electrical engineering, and other industries, both as pure LSR injection molds and for 2K applications. If required, our injection molding department can even handle small production runs for you.

Reverse Engineering / data recovery and creation of 3d models
State-of-the-art 3D laser technology from Zeiss for high-precision contour capture on components, tools, or mold inserts. We actively utilize various scanning methods for rapid measurement and the creation of 3D datasets for toolmaking. This is particularly advantageous for: - Tool modifications - Tool repairs - Older tools or components for which no 3D data exists Injection molds often have a very long service life, sometimes even spanning decades. It is not surprising, then, that during repairs, it becomes apparent that the data has not been updated over the years. Changes to the product specifications, minor repairs, or additional venting on the mold core, slide, or insert have been made over time and not incorporated into the data. Often, the only option is to manually measure these changes with calipers, a coordinate measuring machine, or optically and painstakingly add them to the data. However, this process is usually time-consuming, and it is not always 100% certain that everything is accurately captured. Precupa has a better solution: we can scan components with very high accuracy (±0.002 mm), capturing all contours precisely. Even broken components can be scanned with the structured light or laser scanner and virtually reassembled. The components can be as large as a Euro pallet or as small as a cent coin. Using the scan data, we can perform complete reverse engineering with our software. We also optimize the data for perpendicularity, smooth surfaces, and complete solids, and deliver the data in STEP format. With this clean data, Precupa can then completely manufacture the new component, including its integration into the tooling. We have all the necessary capabilities and manufacturing processes in-house.

Injection molding service for thermoplastics, thermoset, lsr silicone, bio material and biopolymers
Fast, flexible, and precise – we guarantee injection molded parts production for smaller batch sizes. At Precupa, quality and service are our top priorities. Therefore, if required, you not only receive your tools fully sampled and run in, but even your final injection-molded components. - Short-term production of components and tool insert modifications - Iterations and adjustments directly on-site - All common plastic types possible - From initial parts to initial production runs available machine sizes according to material groups: Thermoplastics: Clamping force 15–240 tons Thermosets + BMC: Clamping force 240 tons LSR / Silicone: Clamping force 50 tons Bio-based materials: Clamping force 15–180 tons

Adjustments, optimization and repair of exisiting injection tools
Speed, accuracy, and reliability are the benchmarks for our customers and our fundamental principle. Trust is not given, it has to be earned. Often, it is the seemingly "small" things that cause headaches in a project and need to be resolved quickly. A tool might be damaged or malfunctioning; adjustments or modifications might be necessary. Perhaps parts are missing or need to be overhauled. We address these issues and ensure you have a reliable, high-quality tool back for production as quickly as possible.

Measuring center for tool shop and technical molding center
Tactile and optical measurements accurate to the micrometer (µm). At Precupa, we have invested in a very comprehensive metrology department, where we perform measurements on individual steel parts such as mold inserts, mold cores, and mold plates. This also allows us to evaluate the dimensional accuracy of injection-molded components, both for initial samples and during series production, with comprehensive documentation. The following measuring instruments are available in-house: -3D CMM coordinate measuring machine -Contour measuring machine -Digital microscope (optical zoom range 30:1 = 725x optical, 9000x digital zoom) -3D profile measuring machine -3D structured light scanner -3D laser scanner Tolerances of +/- 2 µm can be measured tactilely and optically using the CMM or scanner. Even greater precision is possible with the profile measuring machine.

Production of prototypes, trials, small series and ramp-up
Do you need near-production prototypes for testing or validation? Are you preparing for series production and need to bridge the gap in low-volume manufacturing? Or is your series production ending and you still need components for the aftermarket, while the tooling needs to be kept operational? At Precupa, we can help in these situations. In addition to our precision mold making, we have our own technical center, a plastics injection molding department, and a measuring center specifically for these situations, when the series supplier fails or has not yet been selected. We offer this parts service for thermoplastics, thermosets, silicone, and biomaterials. Besides injection molding, our suitable encapsulated 5-axis machining centers allow us to produce a wide variety of components with short lead times using high-speed milling (HSC). Since many plastics are not available as semi-finished products, we can also injection mold blanks from the original plastic using one of our interchangeable molds and then mill the prototypes from them. This opens up many new possibilities and accelerates the entire process.
