The increasing requirements for flame-retardant plastics and the simultaneous desire for low CO₂ emissions pose major challenges for the industry. HP-T Höglmeier Polymer-Tech GmbH & Co. KG has set itself the task of developing customized plastic regranulates and compounds that meet the highest environmental standards. Our flexible production facilities cover both the smallest quantities and large-scale industrial standards.
One of the latest developments from HP-T Höglmeier Polymer-Tech GmbH & Co. KG is a plastic that combines high mechanical strength, rigidity and excellent flame retardancy with a significantly reduced CO₂ footprint. The material Hoegomid® 66 GF25 FRV0 is suitable for almost all technical applications, especially in electronics and electrical engineering, where it offers numerous advantages.
When developing this material, the focus was on subsequent usability by the customer and on reducing the environmental impact. Up to 80% of the raw materials used come from recycled post-industrial materials. The electricity required for production is generated almost entirely from renewable sources. Due to the short delivery routes of the raw materials and the self-generated electricity, production has a significantly lower environmental impact than the manufacture of new goods.
The result is a halogen-free, flame-retardant PA 6.6 GF 25 material that can be easily processed by extrusion or injection molding. Despite the necessary flame retardant additives, a rich black color is possible. The flame retardancy of the material has been certified to UL94 V0 for thicknesses of 1.6 mm and 0.8 mm and is therefore ideal for electronic and electrical applications.
