traceless materials GmbH
About us
traceless® is a new material category based on natural polymers – certified plastic-free, biobased, home-compostable, and fully circular. Our materials are derived from agricultural residues and can be melted, shaped, and processed just like conventional plastics.
The patented industrial technology behind traceless® harnesses the polymer molecules naturally present in plant residues. These are extracted, functionalized, and granulated without chemical modification or synthetic polymerization. By carefully arranging the natural polymers, they acquire thermoplastic properties, making traceless® the first plastic-free thermoplastic on the market.
traceless® materials are suitable for a wide range of applications, from paper coatings and injection molding to flexible films. They can be seamlessly integrated into existing production processes, enabling a sustainable transformation with minimal effort.
Our production facility in Hamburg manufactures traceless® materials at commercial scale, demonstrating the industrial scalability of our technology. The process is resource-efficient and energy-saving, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 90% compared to the production and disposal of conventional plastics.
The base material of traceless® is biobased (DIN-certified), home-compostable (DIN-certified), and plastic-free (flustix-certified). In addition, it has been tested for marine degradability and is PFA-free. For certain applications, traceless® is also approved for food contact.
