Prototype injection molding - Efficient, fast and cost-saving
Prototype injection molding at Solidtec is ideal for small quantities. The advantages of prototype construction: a simplified process, greater efficiency and significant time and cost savings. Often, only small quantities of a plastic part are initially required. However, producing these by injection molding requires a great deal of time and money. This is why Solidtec offers its customers the production of prototype plastic parts using rapid tooling . As early as the design stage, the injection molds are specifically designed for small part quantities. The special thing about our processes: True to the motto "less is more", we have integrated many series production functions into the modular Solidtec master mold system with cooling and the ejector system. In terms of prototype injection molding, this means simpler tool inserts and greater efficiency in the production of your plastic parts as prototypes. Further advantages of this solution: different sprue positions can be tested with comparatively little effort. This makes it possible to work out the optimum filling situation for the cavity - quickly, reliably and cost-effectively. Multi-component injection molding - Injection molded parts using the 2K process
Injection molded parts with two or more components - Solidtec also demonstrates its expertise here. An intelligent process makes production in two-component injection molding or multi-component injection molding profitable. Fully automated processes and the necessary equipment are often too costly for low quantities. Injection-moulded parts made from different components, whether hard/hard or hard/soft, are therefore produced by us using several moulds (one injection mould for each component) and the transfer process. This means that 2K injection molded parts are also suitable for prototypes, for example. Another advantage of 2K injection molding or multi-component injection molding is that it is also possible to combine different plastic components and metal inserts. Instert technology for injection molding - The best solution for small quantities? The hand!
Automation on principle? Not with us. Sometimes manual production is the better choice for injection molded parts. Automatically overmolding various inserts? That's only worthwhile for large quantities. In the prototype stage with small production runs, we therefore do without complete automation and instead rely on insert technology in injection molding. The inserts are placed in the molds by hand and then overmolded - insert technology is a high-quality and cost-effective process for smaller quantities.

Small series injection molding - Ideal for 100 to 100,000 injection molded parts
A coherent concept, short throughput times and high output quantities - this is how Solidtec produces plastic parts in small batches and pre-series. With our specialized small series injection moulding, we offer you an economical solution for producing high-quality components in small to medium quantities. For very small quantities and functional samples, we recommend our prototype injection molding . Quality is our top priority. Especially when producing plastic parts in small batches, it is crucial that the tool inserts are particularly robust. Our design engineers therefore ensure right from the planning stage that the tools are also designed for larger quantities. Depending on the material, up to 100,000 injection molded parts can be produced in small series. Thanks to the combination of our modular Solidtec master mold system and state-of-the-art automation, our plastic injection molding for small batches is particularly cost-efficient. The possible output quantity depends on the material used - you can find a list of processed plastics here . Is the series mold not ready in time? Or do you need spare parts at short notice? Rapid Tooling
In Rapid Tooling, injection molding tool inserts are designed on the basis of 3D input data and manufactured from high-strength aluminum using HSC milling. In this way - even when using original materials - you get extremely realistic prototypes with very good surface qualities that hardly differ from mass production in terms of component properties. The high strength of the tool inserts enables the production of pilot and small series using the original material in short cycle times. For the production of two- and multi-component injection molded parts (hard / hard or hard / soft), one injection mold is used for each component. Metal inserts can also be overmolded using insert technology.

Prototyping

The construction phase of the Solidtec cleanroom has begun! Our large cleanroom project will be available from 2026, offering you even higher-quality manufacturing.
The building permit has been granted and the excavation pit has been dug, so now we can finally get started. Our large clean room project is entering the construction phase and will be available from 2026, offering even higher-quality manufacturing. We already manufacture your prototypes and small production runs to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Furthermore, we have expanded our quality assurance services to include optical measurement, process validation and qualification, as well as series testing.
