FastSkin® – Close complex wounds faster, more efficiently, and more sustainably.
Chronic wounds are among the most underestimated yet serious challenges facing modern healthcare systems. They affect nearly three percent of the population in industrialized nations and are closely linked to widespread diseases such as diabetes, whose global incidence, particularly among younger people, has been rising dramatically for years. Treating such wounds is not only medically complex but also entails considerable costs for patients and the healthcare system. The need for innovative, effective therapies is therefore greater than ever. This is precisely where FastSkin® comes in – a novel, homologous therapy invented and marketed by mimiX biotherapeutics Ltd. The goal: to close complex wounds faster, more efficiently, and more sustainably. Samaplast AG played a key role as a development partner, making a significant contribution to transforming a visionary prototype into a production-ready, industrially manufacturable medical device. Market launch in the USA is planned for 2026 – a milestone that promises to attract attention from the international medical technology industry. FastSkin®s Innovative Design: FastSkin® features an intelligent design that specifically supports the bodys natural healing processes. The product combines biocompatible materials with a specially developed medical device, the Sound Cartridge. This acts as a matrix for cell migration and tissue regeneration, creating an environment in which new tissue can develop more quickly and stably. Unlike conventional dressings, FastSkin® not only provides protection but also specifically stimulates the bodys own regenerative processes for healing.

Coriolis-Flow-Meter
SAMAPLAST AG was commissioned by Endress+Hauser (Switzerland) AG to collaborate on the development and manufacture of a Coriolis flowmeter that measures the mass flow rate of liquids, thus contributing to its success. The Proline Promass U 500 is the first single-use flowmeter for biopharmaceutical applications in the life sciences industry. It addresses the shift from multi-use to single-use products and from batch to continuous manufacturing. The Proline Promass U 500 offers multivariable measurements, improved reliability, high accuracy, and industry compliance according to cGMP. The flowmeter is particularly suitable for upstream and downstream applications in the monoclonal antibody process. The sensor consists of a disposable component, available in four nominal diameters (1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1 inch), and a permanently installed base unit suitable for all nominal diameters. Heartbeat Technology automatically detects the flow range and verifies the validity of the factory calibration after installation. This simplifies commissioning and eliminates the need for on-site calibration. Equipped with an integrated web server, Wi-Fi, and up to four I/Os, the transmitter offers easy operation and provides additional process and device information.
